Números transcedentes: a constante de Liouville

O presente trabalho trata da caracterização dos números algébricos e o início da teoria dos números transcendentes, tendo como foco a constante de Liouville que é o primeiro exemplo de número transcendente da história. Em particular, traremos a demonstração da existência dos números transcendentes e sua não enumarabilidade, isto é, existem números transcendentes e não são poucos.

The present work deals with the characterization of algebraic numbers and the beginning of the theory of transcendent numbers, focusing on the Liouville’s constant which is the first example of the transcendent number of history. In particular, we will show the existence of transcendent numbers and their non-enumarability, that is, there are transcendent numbers and they are not few.
