Cultura de segurança do paciente na visão do profissional da enfermagem: uma revisão integrativa

Introdução: a assistência à saúde de qualidade com segurança é um direito do indivíduo. A consolidação da segurança do paciente se apresenta como indispensável no processo de melhoria da assistência. O termo “cultura de segurança” surgiu a partir de o acidente nuclear de Chernobyl em 1986, uma “cultura de segurança fraca” foi atribuída como principal causa do acidente. Metodologia: revisão integrativa onde foram realizadas buscas de resumos na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e nas bases de dados: Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências de Saúde (LILACS), National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE) e Base de Dados de Enfermagem (BDENF). Os descritores utilizados foram: segurança do paciente, cultura de segurança. Os critérios de inclusão foram artigos completos que utilizaram o HSOPSC e o SAQ, disponíveis na íntegra online, em português e foram publicados de 2007 até 2017. Resultados: os artigos analisados foram organizados no quadro 1 evidenciando os seguintes dados: autor e ano, local, metodologia/instrumento, objetivo e categoria de análise. A cultura de segurança do paciente se configura como relevante no objetivo de reduzir eventos adversos no âmbito hospitalar e aperfeiçoar a segurança do paciente com um conjunto de valores, atitudes, percepções e competências, grupais e individuais, que definem um padrão de comportamento e compromisso com o gerenciamento de segurança da instituição.
Introduction: Quality assurance is a right of the individual. The consolidation of patient safety is indispensable in the process of improving care. The term "safety culture" emerged from the Chernobyl nuclear accident in 1986, a "weak safety culture" was attributed as the main cause of the accident. Methodology: integrative review, abstracts were searched in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and databases: Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE) and Database of Nursing (BDENF). The descriptors used were: patient safety, safety culture. Inclusion criteria were complete articles using HSOPSC and SAQ, available in full online, in Portuguese and were published from 2007 to 2017. Results: the articles analyzed were organized in Table 1, showing the following data: author and year, local, methodology / instrument, objective and category of analysis. The safety culture of the patient is configured as relevant in the objective of reducing adverse events in the hospital setting and to optimize patient safety with a set of values, attitudes, perceptions and competences, group and individual, that define a pattern of behavior and commitment with the security management of the institution.
