A violência contra a juventude negra em Alagoas

Este trabalho busca discorrer sobre o conjunto de elementos históricos e sociais que contribuíram para o desenvolvimento da violência contra a juventude negra em Alagoas. Para isso, situamos, inicialmente, o contexto histórico-social de violência contra os negros no Brasil, desde os tempos de escravidão, e, apontamos como os reflexos do período escravista no país ainda seguem presentes na vida dos negros em nossa sociedade contemporânea. Posteriormente, abordamos os fundamentos da violência contra os negros em Alagoas, para logo depois, focarmos nos aspectos que formam o cenário de violência contra os jovens negros alagoanos na atualidade e a reposta dada pelo Estado no enfrentamento aos altos índices de violência. Trata-se de um estudo elaborado por meio da pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. O presente trabalho procura compreender quais os elementos que possibilitam variadas formas de violência contra tantos jovens negros alagoanos.

This work seeks to discuss the set of historical and social elements that contributed to the development of violence against black youth in Alagoas. For this, we first locate the historical-social context of violence against blacks in Brazil since the time of slavery, and point out how the reflexes of the slave period in the country are still present in the lives of blacks in our contemporary society. Later, we focused on the foundations of violence against blacks in Alagoas, and soon after, we focus on the aspects that form the scene of violence against black youth in Alagoas and the response given by the State in facing the high levels of violence. It is a study elaborated through bibliographical and documentary research. The present work seeks to understand the elements that make possible various forms of violence against so many young black Alagoas.
