Relação da aptidão física e IMC nos níveis de atividade física de escolares de Arapiraca

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo identificar a relação entre a aptidão física e o índice de massa corporal com o nível de atividade física de escolares de Arapiraca. Foram selecionados crianças e adolescentes de 11 a 14,9 anos de ambos os sexos, no total 19 crianças, sendo 12 crianças do sexo masculino e 7 do sexo feminino. Utilizou-se do questionário de Baecke para avaliar o nível de atividade física, bateria de teste da EUROFIT e teste de abdominal em 60s para o nível de aptidão física e ainda a coleta do IMC para o tamanho corporal. Observou-se que o nível de atividade física dos meninos foi maior que das meninas; a aptidão física dos meninos foi em média mais elevada as meninas no teste de impulsão horizontal; o resultado do teste feminino de abdominal foi levemente superior em relação ao sexo masculino e o escore máximo de preensão manual feminino foi maior. Por fim, o estudo apresentou correlação negativa entre as atividades realizadas no lazer e os resultados de força abdominal, e ainda houve associação negativa entre impulsão horizontal e o nível total de atividade física dos meninos. Para as meninas, houve relação inversa entre atividades realizadas no lazer e o IMC.
The present study aims to identify the relationship between physical fitness and body mass index with the level of physical activity of Arapiraca schoolchildren. Children and adolescents aged 11 to 14.9 years were selected from both sexes, a total of 19 children, 12 male and 7 female. The Baecke questionnaire was used to evaluate the level of physical activity, EUROFIT test battery and abdominal test in 60s for the level of physical fitness and also the collection of BMI for body size. It was observed that the level of physical activity of boys was higher than that of girls; the physical fitness of the boys was on average the highest girls in the horizontal push test; the result of the female abdominal test was slightly higher in relation to the male and the maximum female hand hold score was higher. Finally, the study showed a negative correlation between leisure activities and abdominal strength results, and there was a negative association between horizontal impulsion and the total physical activity level of boys. For girls, there was an inverse relationship between leisure activities and BMI.
