Este trabalho tem como objeto de estudo as vivências dos processos de sofrimento psíquico em estudantes do ensino superior. Desse modo, traz como objetivo geral compreender como são as vivências de sofrimento psíquico em estudantes do ensino superior. E, como objetivos específicos, tem-se, identificar qual a relação existente entre o sofrimento e a universidade e verificar os fatores que levaram à ocorrência desses processos. Parte da necessidade de estudos com tal temática, pois há uma maior quantidade de pesquisas sobre o processo de sofrimento psíquico apenas dos docentes, fazendo com que trabalhos com os discentes sejam negligenciados. Ao decorrer da pesquisa, foi utilizada a perspectiva sócio-histórica, uma vez que, analisamos o sofrimento psíquico em estudantes universitários considerando esse um processo construído historicamente por seres ativos. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo, de cunho qualitativo, com entrevista aberta. Foram entrevistados três estudantes, do curso de Psicologia, da Universidade Federal de Alagoas, Unidade Educacional de Palmeira dos Índios. Os estudantes eram de períodos distintos e estavam em processo de sofrimento psíquico. Para análise dos dados, utilizou-se a Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin (2010), o que possibilitou identificar e analisar os aspectos aqui estudados a partir da fala dos entrevistados, através de criação de categorias. As categorias encontradas foram as condições de adoecimento universitário, abordando os fatores que influenciam no mesmo; o processo de adoecimento, no qual exploramos como os estudantes o vivenciam; e as condições de apoio, onde buscamos trazer os pontos de auxilio apresentados pelos estudantes. Assim, a partir da visão dos estudantes, foi possível analisar a construção histórica e social que envolve o sofrimento psíquico nos discentes. Pode-se perceber que muitos dos aspectos que influenciam no sofrimento psíquico dos estudantes estão diretamente ligados à universidade, como a falta de assistência, as relações conflituosas, o excesso de cobranças. Aparecendo também fatores externos à universidade, como relações parentais e cobranças individuais. Por fim, entende-se e se defende neste estudo a necessidade de um novo olhar da universidade para com o estudante, atentando para a necessidade de uma maior discussão sobre o tema dentro desse ambiente e uma maior assistência estudantil.
This work has as object of study the experiences of the processes of psychic suffering in students of higher education. In this way, it has as general objective to understand the experiences of psychic suffering in students of higher education. And, as specific objectives, we have to identify the relationship between suffering and the university and verify the factors that led to the occurrence of these processes. Part of the need for studies on this subject, because there is a greater amount of research on the process of psychic suffering only of teachers, making work with students are neglected. In the course of the research, the socio-historical perspective was used, since, we analyze the psychic suffering in university students considering this a process historically constructed by active beings. For that, a qualitative field research was conducted, with an open interview. Three students of the Psychology course of the Federal University of Alagoas, Educational Unit of Palmeira dos Índios, were interviewed. The students were from different periods and were in the process of psychic suffering. To analyze the data, we used the Content Analysis of Bardin (2010), which made it possible to identify and analyze the aspects studied here from the interviewees' speech, through the creation of categories. The categories found were the conditions of university sickness, addressing the factors that influence it; the process of illness, in which we explore how students experience it; and the conditions of support, where we seek to bring the help points presented by the students. Thus, from the view of the students, it was possible to analyze the historical and social construction that involves the psychic suffering in the students. It can be seen that many of the aspects that influence students' psychic suffering are directly related to the university, such as lack of assistance, conflicting relationships, excessive collection. Factors external to the university also appear, such as parental relationships and individual collections. Finally, it is understood and defended in this study the need for a new look of the university towards the student, taking into account the need for a greater discussion about the subject within that environment and a greater student assistance.
