<bianka.silva@arapiraca.ufal.br>
qui-quadrado.
This
is a quantitative and field study, which aimed to (1) verify if the fight content
is addressed in elementary school II physical education classes of public
schools in the city of Arapiraca and surrounding cities and, if not, the
reasons for not approaching it; and (2) to analyze the association between the
teacher's sex and the option to address or not the content fight in Physical
Education classes. The sample consisted of 60 teachers from the municipal and
state schools (33 men and 27 women) and data were collected through a
questionnaire containing 9 multiple-choice questions. Descriptive analysis was
performed, with absolute and relative frequencies, in addition to the
chi-square test. Of the sample studied, 75% of the teachers said they work with
the content fight in their classes and 25% do not, citing as justification: a)
Structural deficit in the work environment (materials, spaces, safety, etc.);
b) feel unprepared; c) others. There was no statistical evidence that the teacher
sex is associated with the option to address the fight content in physical
education classes, indicating that despite the difficulties faced by women in
relation to their participation in martial arts, this did not influence the
neglect with the content in your classes.
