The process of understanding and computationally simulating human brain functions for brain studies purposes requires a quantitative theoretical framework, to create bridges between algorithmic and mathematical models. One of the functions of Neuroscience studies is the analysis of the central and peripheral nervous system, in addition to the search for causes and mechanisms of various pathologies that affect such systems. Deep learning, a sub- area of artificial intelligence, has architectures that artificially simulate the way the human brain analyzes and processes information. Recent progress has been made regarding the contribution of Deep Learning and its tools in the field of Neuroscience, however, there are gaps in relation to how such architectures can contribute to the understanding of the coding mechanisms of neuronal circuits and consequently in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases peripheral nerves and the central nervous system. This study proposes a systematic review, whose objective is to seek and analyze the contributions of deep learning and its frameworks, already made in the field of Neuroscience.
