O processo de envelhecimento e as relações com a saúde do idoso: uma revisão de literatura

Este trabalho teve como objetivo geral compreender as relações entre o processo de envelhecimento e a saúde do idoso a partir de uma revisão da literatura científica. Teve como base a Psicologia Histórico-cultural para melhor entender o processo de desenvolvimento do homem e o envelhecer. O estudo se deu através de pesquisa qualitativa e bibliográfica, com a seleção de trabalhos presentes na literatura científica brasileira e utilizou-se dois portais científicos: SCIELO e CAPES CAFÉ, e os descritores utilizados na pesquisa foram: Envelhecimento e Saúde Mental/ Envelhecimento + Adoecimento Psíquico. Através de sua base qualitativa, foi utilizada para analisar os textos selecionados a técnica de Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin para uma exploração maior dos materiais selecionados. Assim foi possível analisar quatro categorias: Envelhecimento populacional que trata das características gerais do perfil da população idosa e do envelhecimento da população no Brasil; a segunda categoria denominada de Concepções do envelhecimento, fala sobre os sentidos que são construídos pelo idoso sobre o envelhecer de acordo com cada cultura e época histórica; na terceira categoria, chamada de Contribuições para um envelhecimento saudável, é refletido sobre fatores que podem interferir no processo de declínio natural do envelhecimento; e, por fim, a última categoria denominada de Ações direcionadas à saúde do idoso, trouxe algumas discussões relacionadas às políticas públicas que visem intervenções direcionadas à prevenção e promoção da saúde do idoso Os resultados obtidos através da análise das categorias demonstram que as relações entre o envelhecer e a saúde do idoso e a maneira com que cada idoso vai vivenciar essa fase do ciclo da vida vão depender de fatores biopsicossociais e das experiências adquiridas ao longo da vida por cada pessoa.

The general objective of this work was to understand the relationships between the aging process and the health of the elderly based on a review of the scientific literature. It was based on Historical-Cultural Psychology to better understand the process of human development and aging. The study was carried out through qualitative and bibliographical research, with the selection of works present in the Brazilian scientific literature and two scientific portals were used: SCIELO and CAPES CAFÉ, where the descriptors used in the research were: Aging and Mental Health / Aging + Illness Psychic. Through its qualitative base, Bardin's Content Analysis technique was used to analyze the selected texts for a greater exploration of the selected materials. Thus, it was possible to analyze four categories: Population aging that deals with the general characteristics of the profile of the elderly population and the aging of the population in Brazil, the second category called Conceptions of aging that talks about the meanings that are constructed by the elderly about aging according to with each culture and historical period, the third category called Contributions to healthy aging reflects on factors that can interfere with the process of natural aging decline, and finally the last category called Actions aimed at the health of the elderly brought some related discussions to public policies aimed at interventions aimed at preventing and promoting the health of the elderly The results obtained through the analysis of the categories demonstrate that the relationship between aging and the health of the elderly, as well as the way that each elderly person will experience this phase of the life cycle life, will depend on biopsychosocial factors and experiences acquired throughout life by each person.
