A evasão escolar durante a pandemia do coronavírus nas escolas municipais de Penedo/AL

A evasão escolar é um tema importante no contexto da educação pública brasileira, pois afeta negativamente a vida escolar do aluno evadido. Este trabalho tem como objetivo avaliar a evasão escolar durante a pandemia do coronavírus nas diversas modalidades de ensino das escolas municipais da cidade de Penedo, localizada no Estado de Alagoas e no baixo São Francisco. Assim, foram coletados dados sobre o número de alunos matriculados através de entrevista com a assistente social de vinte e três instituições de ensino da rede municipal de Penedo. Observou-se que em 08 escolas houve um aumento no número de matriculados. Entretanto, outras 07 escolas diminuíram o número de matriculados, evidenciando a necessidade de reconhecer os fatores que influenciaram na desistência do alunado. Devido a pandemia do coronavírus, a evasão teve um aumento significativo, principalmente pelas dificuldades de acesso as aulas remotas e problemas financeiros. Portanto, reconhecer os fatores envolvidos na evasão escolar pode ser de grande relevância para compreender os desafios que envolvem o cotidiano no ambiente escolar, pois podem contribuir para o desenvolvimento de estratégias capazes de atrair os alunos, bem como proporcionar e assegurar sua permanência até o término dos estudos.
School dropout is an important issue in the context of Brazilian public education that affects negatively the school life of the dropout student. This work aims to evaluate the school evasion during the coronavirus pandemic in the various teaching modalities in municipal schools in the city of Penedo, located in the State of Alagoas and the lower São Francis. Thus, data were collected on the number of students enrolled through interviews with a social worker from twenty-three teaching institutions in the municipal network of Penedo. It was observed that in 08 schools there was an increase in the number of enrollments. However, the other 07 schools decreased in the number of enrollments, evidencing the need to recognize the factors that influenced the dropout of the student. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, evasion had a significant increase, mainly due to difficulties in accessing remote classes and financial problems. Therefore, recognizing the factors involved can be of great relevance to understanding the challenges that involve everyday life in the school environment, as it may contribute to the development of strategies capable of attracting students, as well as providing and ensuring their permanence until the end of their studies. Therefore, it is necessary to be aware of the several factors that influence the dropout of these students, and that, to reverse this inept, it is necessary to have commitment and joint work of all who make up the school context, in addition to municipal managers capable of encouraging students to return (in the case of dropouts) or to remain at school, providing them with the necessary conditions to assure them the right to the broad exercise of citizenship.
