Time is one of the most fascinating and
intriguing things in humanity, with various interpretations over the years,
including in the context of Physics. This work seeks to investigate the idea of
time in the history of Physics, addressing the perspectives of the following
topics: Aristotle's time, absolute time (Galileo, Newton), entropy and the
arrow of time, Einstein's relative time (Special and General Relativity) and
time in Quantum Mechanics in Schrödinger's wave formalism. With this, we intend
to achieve an understanding of the aspects of time in Physics through
bibliographical reviews of articles, periodicals, books, among others. The
scope of the analysis focuses on physical concepts related to time, without
delving into some theories, such as General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics,
which require more in-depth knowledge due to the complexity of these theories.
Finally, it becomes evident in this work that time is a vast field yet to be
explored in Physics. Despite the countless advances on the subject, there are
many mysteries to be studied, such as time in the context of Quantum
Gravitation: the junction between Quantum Mechanics and the theory of General
Relativity, which will enable the understanding not only of time, but also of
the Universe .
