Teorema da função implícita

No presente trabalho abordaremos um dos temas principais da teoria da Análise, o Teorema da Função Implícita (T.F.I). A motivação de estudar este teorema consiste no seguinte problema: dada uma função implícita que relaciona x e y, será sempre possível escrevê-la na forma explícita? Na verdade, mais do que isso: será verdade que toda expressão algébrica define realmente uma função? Inicialmente faremos um esboço histórico da teoria das funções implícitas, apresentando os principais matemáticos que dispuseram-se a estudá-la. Em seguida faremos um estudo de importantes conceitos da análise matemática no espaço euclidiano n dimensional, os quais irão sedimentar a base deste trabalho, sobretudo aos conceitos de funções, continuidade e diferenciabilidade, registrando suas notações e resultados úteis. Demonstraremos os Teoremas de Weierstrass, do valor intermediário, de Rolle e do valor médio para subsidiar o nosso principal objetivo, que é demonstrar o T.F.I, onde inicialmente consideraremos funções do tipo f : U ⊂ R 2 → R até chegarmos ao caso f : U ⊂ R n+1 → R. E finalmente utilizaremos, como aplicação, o T.F.I para encontrar as propriedades geométricas da curva de interseção de duas superfícies implícitas.

In the present work we will approach one of the main subjects of the theory of the Analysis, the Theorem of the Implicit Function (T.F.I). The motivation of study this theorem consists of the following problem: given an implicit function that relates x and y, will be always possible write her in the explicit form? In fact, more than that: will be truth that all algebraic expression defined really a function? Initially we will do a historical outline of the theory of the implicit functions, presenting the main mathematician that arranged itself to study her. Right away we will do a study of important concepts of the mathematical analysis in the space euclidean n dimension, the which are going to consolidate based on this work, especially to the concepts of functions, continuity and differentiability, recording their notations and helpful results. We will show the Theorems of Weierstrass, of the intermediate value, of Rolle and of the medium value for subsidize our main objective, that is going to show the T.F.I, where initially we will consider functions of the kind f :U ⊂ R 2 → R until we will arrive to the case f :U ⊂ R n+1 → R. And finally we will utilize, as application, the T.F.I for find the geometrical estates of the curve of intersection of two implicit surfaces.
