Memória, resistência e herança: uma leitura de _Levante_, de Henrique Marques Samyn

Este trabalho analisa as marcas históricas da escravidão e da diáspora africana, ressignificadas poeticamente nos poemas “Senzala”, “Dandara” e “Herança”, de autoria do poeta contemporâneo Henrique Marques Samyn, presentes na obra Levante (2020). Assim, partindo do papel da literatura negro-brasileira como instrumento de revisão histórica, a pesquisa estabelece relações entre a violência do período escravocrata, as representações do negro no cânone literário e a poética de resistência e resgate ancestral proposta nos versos de Samyn. O trabalho, de caráter qualitativo e bibliográfico, ampara-se em teóricos da literatura negrobrasileira, como Zilá Bernd (1988), Proença Filho (2009), Cuti (2010), Duarte (2013), entre outros. Espera-se que esta análise contribua para a difusão dessa poesia e suscite reflexões sobre a ressignificação de símbolos da opressão e a herança intergeracional do racismo que a obra do autor evidencia.

This study analyzes the historical imprints of slavery and the African diaspora, poetically resignified in the poems "Senzala," "Dandara," and "Herança" by the contemporary poet Henrique Marques Samyn, from his work Levante (2020). Thus, starting from the role of Afro-Brazilian literature as an instrument of historical revision, the research establishes connections between the violence of the slave-holding period, the representations of Black people in the literary canon, and the poetics of resistance and ancestral rescue proposed in Samyn's verses. The study, which is qualitative and bibliographical in nature, is based on theorists of Afro-Brazilian literature, such as Zilá Bernd (1988), Proença Filho (2009), Silva (2010), Duarte (2013), among others. It is hoped that this analysis will contribute to the dissemination of this poetry and provoke reflections on the re-signification of symbols of oppression and the intergenerational inheritance of racism that the author's work highlights.
