A relação entre familiares LGBT+ e suas crianças

Esta pesquisa em psicologia parte de uma perspectiva decolonial para compreender como se dão as relações entre crianças e a comunidade LGBT+ a partir do vínculo com sues familiares. Os objetivos específicos foram: descobrir os elementos sociais e afetivos que estão implicados no processo de construção de saberes de crianças a respeito da comunidade LGBT+ e compreender as influências que as colonialidades desempenham na formação conceitual e afetiva dessas crianças. Foram realizadas entrevistas com três familiares de crianças entre 7 e 13 anos, em Alagoas, durante outubro e novembro de 2023, sendo uma delas realizada de modo presencial e duas por chamada de vídeo. Todas as entrevistas seguiram um formato não-estruturado, com perguntas sobre a história de vida des participantes e dos vínculos com suas crianças, ao final das entrevistas foi exibido um compilado de cenas da animação “Steven Universo” como proposta de abordagem sobre o assunto com as crianças. Além do controle exercido pelas colonialidades, percebemos a partir das entrevistas o quanto o silenciamento tenta apagar e desvincular a comunidade LGBT+ da família. Além disso, percebemos também a importância do afeto presente nas relações desses familiares LGBT+ e suas crianças, da manutenção desses vínculos e do acesso à informação como forma de resistência às opressões coloniais aqui expostas.
This research in psychology starts from a decolonial perspective to understand how relationships between children and the LGBT+ community occur based on the bond with their families. The specific objectives were: to discover the social and emotional elements that are involved in the process of the children's building knowledge about the LGBT+ community, and to understand the influences that colonialities play in the conceptual and emotional formation of these children. Interviews were carried out with three family members of children aged between 7 and 13, in Alagoas, between October and November of 2023, one of which was carried out in person and two via video call. The interviews did not follow a structured format, and the questions were mainly about the life stories of the family members and their bonds with their children. At the end of the interviews, a compilation of scenes from the animation “Steven Universe” was shown as a proposed approach to the subject with the children. In addition to the control imposed by colonialities, we realized from the interviews how much the silencing tries to erase and disconnect the LGBT+ community from the family. Furthermore, we also realized the importance of the affection present in the relationships of these LGBT+ family members and their children, the maintenance of these bonds and the access to information as a form of resistance to the colonial oppressions exposed here.
