O presente trabalho analisa a literatura
Cristiane Sobral promove o enfrentamento do racismo e do sexismo estruturais,
Metodologicamente, a pesquisa possui caráter bibliográfico e
Gonzalez e Carlos Hasenbaig (1982), Nilma Lino Gomes (2008), Carla Akotirene
This work analyzes literature authored
by Black women as a practice of aesthetic and political resistance, taking as
its object of study the work Só por hoje vou deixar meu cabelo em paz (2014),
by the writer Cristiane Sobral, with emphasis on the poem “Manual Melanina
(read ironically)”. It starts from the understanding that Brazilian literature
has been historically structured by Eurocentric, patriarchal, and racist values
that have limited the presence of Black women as subjects of enunciation. The study
aims to analyze how Cristiane Sobral's writing promotes the confrontation of
structural racism and sexism, reinscribing the Black female body as a space of
identity, resistance, and affirmation. Methodologically, the research is
bibliographic and qualitative in nature, based on the theoretical contributions
of Black feminism, decolonial criticism, and intersectionality, drawing on
authors such as Djamila Ribeiro (2017) and (2018), Conceição Evaristo (2005),
Léia Gonzalez (1984), Lélia Gonzalez and Carlos Hasenbaig (1982), Nilma Lino
Gomes (2008), Carla Akotirene (2019), and Heloisa Buarque de Hollanda (2019).
The analysis shows that the poem uses irony and parody to destabilize normative
discourses associated with the whitening, docility, and control of Black
bodies, revealing symbolic mechanisms of subalternation historically directed
at Black women. It is concluded that literature authored by Black women
transcends the aesthetic dimension and is configured as an instrument of
denunciation, resistance, and social transformation, contributing to the
critical renewal of the Brazilian literary field by affirming new possibilities
of existence, belonging, and knowledge production.
