This final course project aims to thoroughly study the National Humanization Policy (PNH), seeking to investigate its construction, encompassing the historical context in which it was embedded, the scenarios it faced, the challenges it experienced, and many others that are encountered daily in its implementation, as well as understanding the role of power relations and the fundamental role of communication in its existence. With the aim of experiencing the practice firsthand, the objective also included observing the experiences of the professionals, who must expertly implement this policy during the provision of their services, thus proving that the National Humanization Policy (PNH) is more than necessary to execute a humanized care, and is therefore strategically used as a way to reinforce the objectives of the National Program for the Humanization of Hospital Care (PNHAH). This work was developed using a literature review, as well as an investigation of this theme, analyzing the questions presented at the beginning of this summary. Empirical research was also conducted, allowing for real-world observation of the challenges faced by professionals in ensuring that care is as "humanized as possible," thus guaranteeing that "there is no further violation" of users' rights. Thus, it became clear that for the existence and implementation of the National Humanization Policy, the presence of communication is necessary, found in power relations, aiming to offer a dissemination of rich information that allows knowledge to reach users ever closer, even though bourgeois ideology is present, aiming at its permanence, in the sense of preserving conservatism.
